Item Description
Celebrate Walyalup's 2026 Indigenous Round guernsey, a powerful design centred on family, culture, and connection. Created by artist Mariah Yarran in collaboration with Walyalup great Stephen Hill, the guernsey tells the story of Hill's Nan and Pop, whose strength, guidance, and love became the "anchor" of their family. Inspired by the iconic jumper worn during Hill's 2009 debut, the design features the classic white anchor alongside symbolic artwork representing family journeys, gathering, hunting, resilience, and the importance of community.
Following Walyalup's Indigenous Round clash, these match-worn guernseys will be made available via exclusive auction. Each guernsey captures a deeply personal story while celebrating Aboriginal culture and the strong Indigenous history within the Walyalup Football Club. From the kangaroo tracks symbolising moving forward, to the native hibiscus acknowledging the Stolen Generations, every element of the design carries meaning and connection to Country, family, and legacy.
